fishline estimates the species, length and weight of a fish from a photo, and gives you a place to log, map and share your catches. It is made by fishline.ai in Iowa.

Every number fishline gives you is an estimate made from a photo. It gets better when something of known size is in the frame, and it can still be wrong. Do not use fishline to decide whether a fish is legal to keep, to enter a tournament, or for anything else where an exact measurement matters. Use a tape and a scale for that. Local fishing regulations are your responsibility.

You need to be 13 or older. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You are responsible for what happens under it. You can delete it any time from Settings.

Measuring a fish costs credits. Every account gets 5 free credits a month. On the website you can buy a Pro or Elite plan through Stripe for more credits; plans renew until you cancel and you can cancel any time from the billing page. Where plans are sold through the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google handle billing, renewals and refunds under their own terms.

Elite has no monthly limit on measurements. To keep measuring fast for everyone, any one account can run up to 150 measurements a day on any plan. If you reach that, measuring opens back up within 24 hours.

You own your photos and what you write. By uploading them you give fishline permission to store them, send them for analysis, and show them to other users when you choose to share. Only post photos you took or have the right to post. Do not post anything illegal, hateful, harassing, sexual, violent, or that shows a private person without their consent.

fishline has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Every post, comment, direct message and profile has a Report option, and you can block any user so you no longer see each other or message each other. We review reports within 24 hours, remove content that breaks these rules, and close the accounts that posted it.

Guide listings are placed by the guides themselves. fishline is not a party to any trip you book with a guide, and does not vouch for their licensing, safety or service. Sort out prices, dates and cancellations directly with them.

Do not scrape fishline, try to get around the credit system, upload anything harmful, or use the service in a way that breaks the law or gets in the way of other anglers.

fishline is provided as is. We work hard to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will always be either. To the extent the law allows, fishline.ai is not liable for losses that come from using the service, including decisions made on the basis of an estimate.

We may update these terms. When a change matters we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app or by email. You can stop using fishline and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States.
